Just 5 Millimeters Can Change Everything
True Performance Is Not Always Visible at First Glance.
Even though we are a shaping lingerie brand, there are times when we intentionally tell customers something unexpected:
The true performance of lingerie may not always be visible at first glance. But we believe that those invisible differences are where craftsmanship matters most.
The Design Was the Same. The Fit Wasn’t.
In fact, there are times when we stop and rework a product even at the final stage before launch.
There was one bra that felt perfectly fine when tested with pre-production sample materials. But when we checked the same design using the actual production materials, the way it felt changed slightly.
The reason was a very small difference in the fabric’s thickness and stretch. The production material was a little thinner and a little more flexible than the sample version.
Within Tolerance. But Not Within Our Standard.
“Acceptable”
“Does it perform as intended?”
For the material supplier, the variation was still within acceptable tolerance.
For us, it wasn’t.
Once worn, the bra felt looser than intended and did not provide the intended level of shaping support.
So We Started Again.
Our standard did not change.
So we redrafted the pattern from the beginning.
Even with launch approaching, we were not willing to release a product that fell short of our standards.
What Can 5 Millimeters Change?
In another case, we noticed a slight sense of discomfort in the fit and widened one part of the pattern by just 5 millimeters. That may sound minor. But we know from experience that 5 millimeters can make a meaningful difference in how lingerie feels and performs.
One Fitting Is Never the Whole Answer.
At BRADELIS, this kind of revision is not unusual.
During the sample stage, we conduct repeated fittings and make adjustment after adjustment, carefully checking even the smallest points of discomfort.
If There Is Hesitation, We Do Not Move Forward.
In the end, our founder makes the final call.
That has always been our standard.
A Few Minutes in the Fitting Room Cannot Reveal Everything.
We care so deeply about this because lingerie stays in contact with the skin all day long. A quick fitting cannot reveal everything: whether it rides up or shifts over time, how it feels in motion, or whether it starts to feel restrictive later in the day.
We believe that truly comfortable lingerie can only be created by checking for all of those small stresses—not just how it looks in the first moment.
That is why BRADELIS is not satisfied with
“Beautiful the moment you put it on.”
We go further and ask:
“Is it still beautiful—and still comfortable—after a full day of wear?”
The Price Reflects More Than Materials.
Redrafting when the fit does not meet the intended standard.
Checking the revised design again in actual wear.
Adjusting even small points of discomfort.
Continuing until the product is ready.
At first glance, our prices may seem high.
But what they reflect is not only the value of the materials. They also reflect the time, labor, and care it takes to remake, retest, and refine a product until even the smallest discomfort has been addressed.
Perfecting What Cannot Be Seen.
Even when other brands might call a difference“acceptable”, we do our best not to leave it unaddressed. Because what looks like a tiny difference on paper can feel very real to the woman wearing it.
Perfecting every detail, even those that cannot be seen. That commitment is what supports the performance of BRADELIS lingerie.
